Thanks @Luckyleo and @Shane D, seems that from a tone response perspective you like the Grado's emphasis in the higher frequencies. You also find the Grado more resolving? I have been eyeing the RS1X but maybe the Hemp or 325X are a better entry point.

I think they sound pretty good even compared to current offerings unless you are looking for bleeding edge tech or need more power. It's a unique physical design and form factor which I find to be very classy.
