Head-Fi Basshead IEM thread (lists page 1)

Ok, for pure basshead experience you might try the 7hz Legato, which sells for a bit over $100. The bass is really powerful and the quality of the bass is not bad at all. It works well for some genres of music but not others, as it's not any kind of "all arounder."

Head-Fi Basshead IEM thread (lists page 1)

The FatFreq Maestro/Maestro SE has excellent bass, including the quality of the bass as well as quantity. I have read that the Nightjar Singularity is terrific for bass, as well, but have not had the pleasure myself.

    Favorite ear tips?

When I have trouble getting a good fit from stock eartips that come with iem's I frequently end up using the Spinfit double flanges. They are a good all-arounder, and it's easy to get a good seal.

Focal Arche: Anyone compared to other options in its price range?

Ok, an update to this post from six weeks ago. I sent my Arche to Focal North America in New York, and they were quite generous. The offer was to repair the unit for no charge, on warranty. But instead, they sent me a replacement unit. I think this was excellent service!

Shozy IEM impression/appreciation thread (in particular Pola owners)

This post is about the Shozy Black Hole. I purchased this IEM when it first came out partly because I loved the name and was intrigued by the design concept. I bought the black version (of course). I confess I was initially disappointed in the set because the bass response is kind of "eh" (the...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

Thanks for the thought :-). I actually ended up getting the Divinity v16. I like it, but frankly, I have been a little disappointed in it as a "flagship" iem, considering the price.

Which on would be more suitable for listening Electronic&Rap on more active days where I dont want cables? Shure SE846 or CA Mammoth with Shure bluetooth dongle (not even sure if it works with it)?

I would think the Mammoth is designed better for rap and other bass-heavy musical genres. I don't listen to rap but I listen to a fair amount of minimal techno where the sub bass is critical and for this my venerable Shure 846 are not anywhere near my first choice.

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

I owned the Thieaudio Voyager 14 IEMs and really liked them. On a trip to South America early this year they were lost somehow. I still can't figure out what happened :-(. This is a discontinued model. Can someone recommend another IEM with a similar sound signature at this level of quality? I...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Since we're talking about "true wireless" in this thread, is there any advantage to using a DAP for bluetooth streaming? I use a Fiio M11 Plus with my wired IEMs, but I see no reason to say, take it to the gym where I listen via bluetooth. People generally want their phones because it serves...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

A little while back I posted about sweat getting into my MTW3 and making them sound "squishy." A few days later the right earbud basically gave out and I returned them to Amazon for a refund. I guess my experience was not unique. I actually think my AKG N40's are my best-sounding true wireless...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Ok, I was wrong in a way about the Sennheiser true wireless momentum 3 not being sweatproof, but the truth regarding my own set is kind of worse. The squishiness/crackliness I experienced in the right earbud was not because of sweat, but because that transducer was in the process of failing. A...

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More

I am a patient person and can wait for an ordered IEM. But once again the issue of "when will the order be filled" has disappeared into an apparent black hole.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Yes, I know that and knew that when I purchased them. That's why when the right earbud became "squishy" from sweat I was disappointed.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

OK, I am one user with limited experience, but --- no, they sure don't seem to be.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I have these and I like to use them with the bass boost feature (I am a basshead, what can I say?) The one thing about them that I find difficult is that in my experience, they are not sweatproof, at all. I mostly use wireless IEM's at the gym. I do not sweat all that much, and I have had no...
