New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread

Hi @roskodan, A limited number of search narrowing fields are available on the Classifieds search page located at https://www.head-fi.org/search/?type=hfc_listing, however, filters like those found in the "filter" drop down are not due to indexing limitations. Regarding the root category, this...

    Introducing Head-Fi Classifieds!

Hi @Adogsbestfriend32, It looks like you haven't yet met the minimum post requirement for Classifieds access (https://www.head-fi.org/articles/head-fi-classifieds-faq-and-walkthrough.19757/#q2). After you've reached the minimum post threshold it can take up to an hour for the new permissions to...

Resolved: Classifieds search is broken in multiple ways

Hello @nothing4me, Thank you for your bug report. The different results you experienced are not related to case-sensitivity. Our search system normalizes all search terms to lowercase before executing the search. Note that regardless of your search terms case, the results include uppercase...

I'm happy to announce that users should now be experiencing normal latency levels while using the site. Thank you for your patience while we worked towards recovering from this incident.

New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread

Thank you for your reports. We're aware of the increased latency and unfortunately it stems from physical damage to the Google Cloud Network in the region from which we host Head-Fi. Google is currently working on mitigating the problem, but has not yet provided an ETA. We apologize for the...

New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread

The listing comment system doesn't support attachments, so there's not a way to upload images directly to a comment (via drag-and-drop). While it isn't currently a planned feature, we'll add attachment support for comments to our list of features under consideration. In the meantime, BBCode...

    CanJam SoCal 2022 (September 17-18, 2022)

Thanks! I've been with Head-Fi since 2018, but @warrenpchi sure likes to make it sound like I only just started!

It might take a while to complete, but I'd strongly suggest going to Catalina (v10.15). It's currently the oldest macOS version that's still receiving support updates. Older versions pose a security risk.

There's not much to add. When you double click the downloaded certificate, it will open Keychain Access and give you a small window asking to which keychain you want to add the certificate. Choose X509 and click "OK". It may ask for your password to complete the process. I'm not a Mac user, nor...

New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread

Hello again @RCBinTN, As @MrWalkman discovered, it appears that manual installation of the new root certificate issued by Let's Encrypt is necessary. The only alternative is to upgrade macOS to get the updated set of pre-installed trusted root certificates. To install, download, then double...

New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread

Hi @RCBinTN, It looks like you have the correct certificate for Head-Fi, but have an out of date certificate for our issuing authority (R3). You should be able to resolve this by clearing your local site data for Head-Fi. It appears that you're using Chrome (or another Chromium-based browser)...

    Introducing Head-Fi Classifieds!

@leeperry Thanks for verifying the information I asked about. The extended period of time between refreshes is definitely the root cause of your issue. I've reviewed your previous posts. In those posts you request that the filter settings don't expire. To be clear, your filter settings do not...
