Under the repairs form on their website, indicate that you wish to upgrade to the new jh13 freqphase model. Send them your jh13s. They quoted me $350 for the upgrade. 

If i may provide my 2 cents to this. As someone who owns the both the jh13 (pre freqphase)  and the hd800, there are a multitude of reasons why people are disappointed with the hd800, like you said, it sounds rather thin and dry (unemotional, cold, analytical) which is true when you compare it...

Whats more, its a small country too XD 

Fitear 333, love its sound sig, it may not be the the best BA CIEM out there but it sure is special. Saving up for one, boy my wallet is gonna die again.
