Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Thanks magic man for at least confirming that the Denon headphone jack isn't an option. Unfortunately adding another receiver into my home theater setup isn't really possibly due to space and wiring. USB DAC and amp will have to do.- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Dubstep Girl - Thanks for the recommendation. I know those are supposed to be good headphones but I feel kinda "eh" about used headphones. Who knows how well they were taking care of etc. I'd rather not press my luck. Davidsh - I think this is the first time I've heard about the HE-400s...- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Quote: I guess I should have asked this from the get-go but why do you not recommend the HE-400 for movies? You own a pair I take it?- jazzman161

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Hey all! I'm considering purchasing HE-400s solely for movie watching. Would you recommend using the Schiit Magni or Asgard amp? Just wondering if the Asgard would be worth the extra $$$ for my usage...- jazzman161

USB DAC/Amp for HTPC
Unfortunately the Demon will not output analog via the line outs if the input is digital and I'm using HDMI, so don't think there's a way around that for me- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Are there any stores that demo Beyerdyanmics or Ultrasones? I'm not seeing anything on their website and I'd like to try them out if at all possible.- jazzman161

USB DAC/Amp for HTPC

USB DAC/Amp for HTPC
Hey everyone! I'm new to hi-end computer audio/headphones and wanted to look into getting some audiophile quality headphones for movie watching off my HTPC (when I don't want to use my speaker). Problem is my Denon receiver's headphone output jack will probably limit what kind of headphone I can...- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Well I have line-out but Denon won't output if I'm using a digital source, like HDMI, which I am. So I can't see a way of using line-out/Zone2 for my needs. I may just buy the Beyer DT-990 and see how they sound off the headphone jack. I called Denon but unfortunately they don't know that...- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Thanks for the suggestion on Mad Lust Envy's thread. Good info! My toss up seems to be between the Beyer DT-990 and the Ultrasone Pro 2900. Both which seem to be recommended for movie watching. My biggest issue seems to be how (or if) people are using these headphones to watch movies...- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Any recommendations on what model to look at? I also saw lots of recommendations for Beyerdynamics DT 990-600 Ohm. Those are also open cans no? And would those be OK to run through my Denon receiver?- jazzman161

Recommendation for High-End Movie Headphones
Hi all! I am looking to purchase a pair of mid/high-end headphones purely for late movie watching. I have a couple questions and was hoping I could get some answers and recommendations. 1. I have a Denon 2310 A/V receiver that receives audio & video via HDMI from an HTPC. Do I need...- jazzman161
