Also, the athm50's seem to be mainly mid bass and lacking sub bass. Deep sub bass would be nice 

So are there any ahd2000 owners in here? I currently own a pair of ath-m50's. I like them, yet I feel the mids are too recessed. How do they compare? Also, any overall impressions are welcomed!

I've heard the senn 380's, they sound too... airy and laid back. Plus, it seemed to have no punch to the sound. I could see them fairing well in classic, orchestral, and soft rock but just not to my tastes

Since my amp is running through usb and even seen by windows as a separate output, does that mean it's technically running as a DAC, too? If so, I suppose that would be better than my onboard laptop soundcard that I really don't know much about.
