I'm well aware of that. If anyone has that minor complaint about signal integrity that's up to them. The effect on signal quality is minimal and easily trumped by the convenience of being able to control volume locally from within the OS.

That's unfortunate to hear. Considering I picked up my Mojo for $200, forking over another $200 for the M2Tech wouldn't seem to be a good value. To each their own and I understand your use case. It can probably be had for over 50% off retail if one were to be willing to be patient and purchase used.

The Mojo will make a high pitched noise when it is very close to fully charged and not playing audio, until it stops charging. Mine does the same. It is annoying but I don't sit near the device so it doesn't bother me.

In some cases, yes, a cable may be so rubbish it will not pass the proper voltage. But the majority of cables will get the job done.

This is like the 75 ohm coax digital cable BS. A regular RCA unbalanced cable will still pass the digital signal, albeit perhaps not as optimally as one that is spec'd for 75 ohms.

As long as the battery is charged and can power the DAC you only need the USB data cable. However, the USB data port is simply that, it is data ONLY. The USB power port is the same, but the opposite idea. It is power ONLY and does not pass data.

In your case, you most likely knew what you were doing. The Omega SAM's are high sensitivity so I'm not surprised you tried it out. Typical speakers are 87-89 dB sensitivity, compared to the 94.5+ dB sensitivity of the Omega's.

No idea why @miketlse referred to the 1W output. All that matters is that the headphone out can produce the proper Voltage. It will output 3V in line-out mode. 4 clicks down from max output is ~1.9V, as per mentioned at link. 2V is considered standard line level voltage for consumer audio equipment.
