Are there significant differences among various phones and their ability to play hi-res audio and their playback quality?

I used that for running. No problem with isolation (good to hear other people around), no fit problem in my ears. But the straight plug got broken in half when I leaned forward and pushed the plug in my abdominal pocket. These are not kung-fu monks for sure, L-shaped plug would do a better job...

You mentioned that these new budhas will be easier to drive even if they are 64 ohm. I intend to use them with smatphone only, will the sound be the same/brighter/moodier than current version?

VEM is certainly like budhist monks. Red dressed, cheap to feed and you can get a life voice from them. And there are plenty of them ;-)
