I have the envy and the VM-1a so I am covered relative to 300b tubes if I choose to go that way with the Immanis...I am expecting to be using the VM but who knows the envy is great as well

perhaps but I will be fine with my VM-1a....have to draw the line somewhere lol

just find a VM-1a..best solution of all

market dictates price, we are not talking about food here we are talking about a luxary good...if you think it is too expensive do not buy it and buy something else...problem solved

I take it as a positive that there is a reviewer who says he likes but doesnt love the Immanis compared to the susvara...it would be kind of strange if everybody felt exactly the same...the complaint being price is totally subjective of course and to me means nothing in the aggregate...we are...

owning it and loving it with my CA and SA I heard it briefly with the Immanis and canjam and it was outstanding

having both, I vote for the envy although the 1b is quite versatile and solid....if you are going direct the VM-1a would be best IMHO

yes, they sound great out of my chord dave and great out of my feliks envy but have to be on low gain and really dial back the volume on the dave quite a bit

I find the charybdis about the easiest to drive HP I have owned

yes I agree,once you get to this point there are no huge step up...just incremental or subjective..I know myself a great deal of it is "psychic improvement"

not sure I see the problem here..there are all sorts of HP's that are outstanding available for far less money...nobody mandates you have to spend the money for this HP...get what you can afford..the truth is the Immanis may well sell a few hundred units so it is not meant as a mass market...
