I bought these when they were $100 and I'm still happy with them even for that price! Sound quality is very good for the price, but they have "360 degree speakers" meaning the main speakers have rear facing drivers as well. This creates an interesting auditory effect when placed in my bookshelf spaces, I would describe it as increasing the sound stage but it sounds as if the sound is not coming directly from the speakers themselves.   The subwoofer is great for the price, plenty of deep bass!
