Headphone Inventory
Grado PS1000, Beyerdynamic DT880 600 Ohm, Sennheiser HD650 (with Equinox cable)
Headphone Amp Inventory
Lavry DA11, Chinese made tube amp (no brand, but judging by the sound quality it could be in the 600$/800$ price range, to my ears better than the Musical Fidelity X-CAN V8 and also better than the Chinese made Opera Consonance amp). In terms of transparency the Lavry is in another class though.
Source Inventory
Vacuum Sate level 6 modded SCD-XB940 Sony SACD player, Cary 306 SACD.
Using my computers too, playing in Foobar2000, and USB connected to the Lavry DA11.
Portable sources : Samsung YP-P3 (the best sound I've heard, the only portable I believe would sound better is the Kenwood) , Cowon S9 (best screen I've seen, the colors and realism on AMOLED put the LCD screens back to the 19th century... but the audio quality is not as good as most people say, SQ quite harsh in the treble) , and Cowon iAudio 7 (distorted sound, though I remember it was still better than Ipod).
Cable Inventory
Interconnects : Vacuum State cables are my reference. Others include VDH and Nordost.
Power-Related Components
Shunyata Hydra 6, and Taipan power cables.
Other Audio Equipment
Thiel CS2.4, PCS speakers, Bel Canto Pre6 gen2 pure analogue multi-channel preamplifier, Audionet AMP II G2 monoblocks.
I also have a home cinema system on HDMI with Panasonic blu-ray player, PS3, Pioneer LX-50 universal player (I play multichannel SACD through this setting and it sounds totally decent), Pioneer LX-70 receiver, and Thiel speakers.
Music Preferences
70% classical, 20% jazz, 10% rock.
