Just an extra 2db in the 6-7khz region. Add that in, at it would be the perfect for me.

Is there a way to get the Ety brown filters without buying the tuning kit? It's a bit expensive. Also, I've heard Knowles filters work, but can also break the nozzle over time.

Well, I do like me some bass, so I fear you might be right!

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to accept that I found my endgame. I keep trying other IEMs and I just don't like them.

I might keep an eye out for it! But to be honest, my ER4XR has treated me so well, that I doubt I'm going to find something better any time soon.

A question regarding the Etymotic tuning. I'm in a position now where I can't even stand other IEMs. I bought both the Truthear Hexa and the Letshouer S12, but I just keep going back to my ER4XR. I find everything else sibilant now. My question is, is the treble truly accurate with the Etymotic...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

I got my S12 Pro about 6 months ago, and after a period of immense buyer's remorse, I finally found the perfect tips that give me perfect resonance and sibilance free listening. Here's what I discovered along the way: Final Audio Type E: A slight drop in treble but it caused immense resonance...

@Kaavik Unit variation is definitely a thing with these IEMs. I just returned a defective pair and got a new one. Whereas the first pair had elevated treble and some sibilance, the new pair is super smooth. It sounds like they used a different type of acoustic foam in the filter, I dunno, but...

For the longest of time, I've loved Etymotic. In fact, I own their entire XR line up. I even got my son into it and he now refuses to listen to anything else, but I think it's time I re-evaluated my position. You see, not long ago, one of my kids bought the Salnote Zero and I was absolutely...

Hey, thanks guys! I actually just got my hands on some CP145s just now and I do think they blunt the treble a tad too much for my liking, hence the E type tips might be a no-go for me. @rudebeard- Yeah, I think the Spiral Dot will do for now. In fact, I'm kinda really liking it the more I listen...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Hey everyone, I just got my S12 Pro and the sibilance is bugging me. I put on some Spiral Dot tips, which helped a bit, but I can't help feeling that there has to be a better solution. I know I can use foam, but I really dislike them as they are an ongoing expense. What would you say are the...

Could be possible that your laptop has higher impedance, which would make it brighter. There are impedance adapters that you can get. Usually around 20-30 Ohm does the trick. https://penonaudio.com/3.5mm-impedance-adapter.html?search=adapter
