  1. Ultrasone PRO 750

    4.50 star(s)
I've had quite a few of Ultrasones, which include the HFI 580, HFI 2400, PRO 900 and the PRO 750. I prefer the 750 over all of these. They have a very balanced sound with amazing tight bass and an edge in the highs. Mids are very forward for an Ultrasone, though I find the highs to be slightly too aggressive and overbearing at times, though it's not as bad as most people say they are. It's a very fun headphone, without the bass drowning the music like the PRO 900 and the ultra recessed mids of the HFI 580. I also think they are very comfortable...
  2. Ultrasone PRO 900

    4.50 star(s)
These are some excellent bass-head headphones. The sound is extremely clear, with an extremely tight, deep, well-textured and impactful bass, a clear midrange, and a very detailed high end. The mids are recessed, so if you don't like a V shaped frequency curve, then steer clear from the PRO 900. The highs can get a bit extreme at times, but I wouldn't call it harsh or piercing... I actually find it quite enjoyable. As well, the soundstage is excellent for a closed headphone, and the lows, mids and highs are all seperated very well. The PRO 900 are...
  3. Sony MDR-XB500 40mm XB Diaphragm Driver Extra Bass Headphones

    3.50 star(s)
I am not a hater of this headphone, even though I am a pure bass head, but want excellent clarity and detail retrieval. These fail at anything that is not bass. Highs and mids clarity is pretty bad. It just sounds so plasticky and echoey, I cannot explain it. The overpowering bass, maybe too overpowering for my taste, takes over the entire spectrum. The soundstage is pretty dang tiny, which means that these are the WORST CHOICE for gaming. If you want a great headphone, buy the Panasonic HTF 600, which is cheaper than the Sonys by a bit, and demolish...
  4. Ultrasone HFI-580

    4.50 star(s)
I had experience with many headphones, such as the ATH M50 and HD 380 PRO, and the HFI 580 is better in every aspect. I would pay three hundred for these! The sound is crystal clear in the entire spectrum, and the bass is huge. There is a lot of bass, and it is not overpowering nor muddy. There is so much detail in the bass region, it is almost crisp. They are pretty comfortable when you stretch them out. They clamp so hard on the head out of the box, almost at the same level as the HD 280 PRO. I just stretched them out with my own hands to make them...
  5. Ultrasone HFI-2400

    5.00 star(s)
These headphones are outstanding. Sound quality, durability, design and comfort are all excellent. These are open headphones, so these are expected to not have the best noise isolation, but it's acceptable. These sound fantastic out of any source. :) For 300 dollars, these are a steal....... Seriously. Sound: 9/10......The sound quality is fantastic. Detail retrieval, soundstage, imaging, lows, mids and highs are all excellent, as expected with a $300 pair of headphones. Design: 10/10......These look sick. The black and grey look stunning...
  6. Bang & Olufsen A8 Earphones

    4.00 star(s)
I have owned the Bang And Olufsen A8s for around 5 months. I am very satisfied with this product in many ways. First of all, These earphones look and feel amazing. The materials used (rubber, brushed aluminum and plastic,) are fantastic. As well, these are probably the most comfortable earphones I have EVER used in my entire life. It's so comfortable, I do not feel anything when I am listening to them. I have not had a single problem with these earphones and are very durable.    The sound quality on these earphones is not amazing, but very good...
  7. V-MODA Crossfade LP Over-ear Headphone

    3.50 star(s)
These headphones are at best good. They look amazing, with its very unique design. As well, these headphones are extremely sturdy, because of the excellent materials used (Leather, metal and memory foam.) These come with an awesome hard shell carrying case, which makes these headphones portable for every day usage. As for sound quality goes, the mids are good. They are pretty clear and accurate, without being recessed. The highs are muddy, and sound very muted and extremely recessed. The mids and lows bleed into the highs in my opinion. The lows are...
  8. Dr. Dre Premium Headphones Beats Studio (Black)

    2.00 star(s)
DO NOT BUY THESE. I tried these out for 10 minutes at the Apple store, and I was disgusted by the muddy sound. For 300 dollars, there are so many better options than this trash. Cheap plastic is used and the ANC is terrible. On a positive note, these look really cool and are comfortable.
  9. Bose®AE2 audio headphones

    3.00 star(s)
I tried my friend's Bose AE2s for 5-10 minutes. When I held the headphones in my hands, they felt very cheap. They were all plastic. When I put them on my head, they were probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried in my entire life. The cable was extremely thin and felt very cheap. When I played hip hop through them, the first thing I noticed was that the bass was severely lacking. I also noticed that the highs were lacking too, but the mids sounded great. The voices really stood out. The headphones were extremely colored, meaning...
  10. Monster Turbine In-Ear Headphones

    4.00 star(s)
These are some great earphones! The bass and sound quality is great, and they are very durable, though the mids are very recessed and muffled. They stay in my ears very well, and are pretty comfortable and do not hurt my ears at all. The only thing that I noticed is that the mids are sort of recessed. Overall, for the price, great earphones. Definitely recommended.
  11. Monster Beats Solo HD (PRODUCT)RED Headphones with ControlTalk

    2.50 star(s)
I sort of liked these headphones when they were working. They were comfortable, but the sound quality was not that good. Too much bass and it overpowers the mids and the highs. Around 4 months later, no sound came out of the headphones. I paid $200 for headphones and they break? Also, these headphones do not sound like $200 headphones. They sound like $50 headphones. Do not buy these........ Buy anything else, from Audio Technica, Sennheiser, AKG, Grado, Shure, Beyerdynamic etc..... I am sending these back to get a replacement pair.
  12. Audio-Technica ATH-M50S

    5.00 star(s)
These headphones are incredible. Fantastic sound quality. The bass response is really, really nice. It's well defined, accurate and strong, but it's not overpowering. The mids and highs are awesome too. Very crisp and I heard things in my music that I haven't heard with my other headphones. As well, these headphones look really nice and are really comfortable. The only things I do not like about these headphones is the very long straight cable. I always have to hold a bit of the cable when i'm listening to music on my iPod or my computer...
  13. Koss UR-20 Home Headphones

    3.00 star(s)
I have owned the Koss UR20 DJ Headphones for a little more than a month. For the money, these headphones are pretty good, but if money doesn't matter, these headphones are not too great. If you don't have a lot to spend, these are one of the better headphones you can buy in the $20-$30 range.   Sound Quality: I must say that the lows and the bass on these are decent. It's deep and fairly strong. For listening to rap or hip hop, these sound pretty good, but that's just about it. The mids and especially the highs sound muffled and muddy. You...
