PS Audio's GCHA (beta): Another New Kid Coming to Town [56k warning]

Come on Jude, give it up already... I very courious on your thoughts of the "gain cells". I own the GCP-200 two channel pre-amp. I have to say its the finest preamp I have ever had in my system and I've had more than a few that cost 4x as much as the GCP. Look at this beauty. (ps, Thanks...

Quote: If I hadn't been warned by another Head-Fier about Audiogon's rather sneaky practices and about Hello Simply Music's disturbing behaviour, I might have bought something from them. I chose not to do business with them at the time and now, after seeing what Welly is having to go...

Cary SLP-88 as a headphone amp review

Im fairly sure the SLP-88 inverts polarity in the gain stage. How does this effect headphone listening? I'm wondering if it's corrected at the headphone output. Any clue?

Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!

I wear one of these because I have to many other obsessions (Boating, single engine planes, Cars, High-end Audio, Women, etc.) and havent got around to mens jewerly, yet... I know its not much but I think it looks nice and it even tells time. I'm not sure I even want to view this thread. It...

    Good, BUDGET turntable <$200 used

I agree, Cheap/good sounding used turntables start at around $400. I would save your pennys and look for a used Rega P3 on the Gon for around $500 or the Music Hall MMF-5 can be found between $350-$400. Remember a worn cartridge can destroy your LP's and new (decent) cartridges start around...

"Best" audio player for Windows - ??

[flame suit on] I use Windows Media Player 9 and have been playing a little with WMP 10 on another machine. I love it. It has HUGE support, lots of updates and the WMP lossless sounds good enough for my PC rig. I dont believe any player has the functionality of MS WMP. The mini mode (task bar)...

Good POT for MG Head MK 3

Why not a step or ladder set-up? If your going to take it apart, might as well go all out. While your in there put a switch for input selection or convert it to a pass through. Just some ideas.... How far can you take the MG Head MKIII? Post some pics of the inside of the unit and power...

Antique Sound Lab MKIII is on its way to me

Quote: The MKII had a set of inputs and a set of outputs on the back.(which I assume was to let the signal pass through to a amp or receiver). The MKIII, on the other hand, just has two sets of inputs... but no way to switch them. What? That can't be right. Is it mislabled?
