    Think of it this way: EVGA NU Audio Pro 7.1 (AN21) = NU Audio Pro card (AN11) + NU Audio Pro Surround (AN10) Optical will always be a maximum of 5.1 as Dolby/DTS passthrough.

    Yes, it's part of the Nahimic DSP, which can be toggled on or off.

    Yes. The mainboard card (Pro) uses a SATA connector still. The daughterboard (Pro Surround) receives power through the PCIe slot and a mini-DisplayPort connector, which must be connected to the mainboard via a mini-DisplayPort cable.

    Well, it depends on what you need. If you need the multi-channel analog surround, then yes, you'll need a minimum of 2x PCIe slots. If you just need the stereo version of the Pro, we will eventually be selling both cards separately.
