Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Thanks, I have heard it in videos before, just wanted to hear in person how loud it is and if it cuts out when changing volume slowly. I've been considering a saga. Plus it's always good to hang with Tom.

Congrats Tom, I'll have to stop by sometime to hear those relays clicking away when you change the volume. For now I can only imagine how the Freya feeding into BH Crack will sound with my 650s.

Thanks, I'm excited to get it in the new case. These days I'm more interested in clean lines than crazy angles. The 760t looks too "gamery" for my current personal tastes but I appreciate the style. I made that psu cover with some acrylic, a heat gun, and some vinyl wrap. It really improved...

I just got a Define R6 TG to transplant my gaming/editing rig into (4790k, 1080ti, 32GB ddr3) and will be doing that on Thursday night. Currently it's in a Corsair 760t but it's way too loud. The R6 should be nice and quiet. Here's a pic of it as it is now:

My mother has 3 pizza stones from the pampered chef pyramid scheme, 2 big ones and a smaller one, and after 15-20 years they are still going strong. They have aged and changed colors quite a bit. She takes them out of the oven every time and has never broken one. They have a metal handle that...

My work setup is Fulla 2 to HD6XX, I think it sounds great. It's not end-game but it will work just fine to get you started.

What a long, strange trip it's been -- (Robert Hunter)

99% of the music I listen to is best consumed as if it were one long track. Most progressive rock/metal albums have a theme and a story. Sure, you could listen to Welcome To The Machine all by itself, but it's so much better when it comes in its place during the whole of Wish You Were Here.

CD trasport could be called Arachne, the mortal weaver, or "spinner" who challenged Athena to a weaving contest and was transformed into a spider, or "spinner". Just a wild guess.

Thanks Pietro, I appreciate your concern. I promise I wont solder over the legal limit.

Hey Tom, when the coaster comes out can you order an extra set of parts for me? I know you're a wizard with BOMs. I'll bring some scotch for the VUs and some cash for the parts, then we can have some beers and solder up a couple amps!

What I've found in this hobby in my somewhat limited experience is that things are rarely night and day, and most people would describe a 5-10% increase in sound quality with words like "huge" and "massive". From everything I've read the Magni 3 punches way above it's weight, so it might not be...

@Paladin79, or Tom as I know him, is one of the nicest dudes I've had the pleasure of meeting and I've never had the slightest inkling of dishonesty from him. He has invited me to his house several times and gave me food and tasty beer, not to mention help with cables and electronics, so he's...

Ooh yes, I love Pratchett as well. The Watch and Death sub-series are fantastic.

I very much recommend it. There are a few storylines in those middle books that are merely distractions because Jordan knew he was dieing, but couldn't figure out how to get to the ending he had already written. After he passed, his wife Harriet commissioned Brandon Sanderson, another fantastic...
