Sennheiser HD599 - first impressions.
Yeah I've no idea where that comes from either. I think there is only one type of sound from all of the versions of these headphones. I liked the sound overall however I took preference in my older HD558 instead. They're a little less bloated and bass heavy.- Lifted Andreas

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
If it's the most recent iPhone you could always just get a usb c dongle like a JCally and you would get decent sound out if the MH1C too. I gotta say I'm kinda sad I sold my MH1C pair all those years ago, I wouldn't mind trying them again.- Lifted Andreas

Nice review thanks! I would say out of all of those DACs the SXFI has the most AKM VELVET sound as it uses one of the older chips. The newer 4493SEQ is more leaning towards bright/neutral ESS/like signature. Honestly I might have to pick up another SXFI at some point. I miss mine. :(- Lifted Andreas

Interesting, thanks for the review! I wonder how this would compare to the Truthear SHIO with the same CS chips.- Lifted Andreas

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
Hows the Cayin? From what I researched it costs way more than the M1P. I now have 2 devices with the AK4493SEQ, the AkLIAM dongle and a Topping DX1 (which got delivered today!). Both sound very similar but the DX1 is smoother, and that volume knob is so so appreciated when I'm at my desktop...- Lifted Andreas

Ouch. If you miss the sound of the detail resolving qualities of the AK4493SEQ, AkLIAM make a small dongle with that chip too (which I own). I am in the process of evaluating it for a review. I was myself tempted to get the Colorfly, but I am currently evaluating 2 dongles for review so don't...- Lifted Andreas

Warm dongle: 7hz 71 vs Shio?
Hello, I know this is an older thread but if you're still looking the SHIO would be a good option. If you want something slightly less warm, and with a better ability to resolve details and have faster response then take a look at the AkLIAM PD4 Plus. A great resource for dongles is...- Lifted Andreas
