Need some opinions on shure se215ltd vs se215 original

That's not true.    Check the graph below.    Looks pretty darn flat with hardly any low end roll off at all.  But...........if you want exaggerated bass rather than an accurate presentation, than the 400's wouldn't be the IEM for you.     And here is the exaggerated bass graphed out for...

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

Don't know, but I hope so.    I got mine before these eartips were available.

    best IEMs for ~100$

So you feel that the bass is not exaggerated and that the top end is not rolled off?

    best IEMs for ~100$

It's simply amazing if you like exaggerated bass and a rolled off top end.  Very durable and isolates very well though.   If you want something more balanced and accurate, although a bit less durable and doesn't isolate quite as well, the RE-400's would be the better choice.

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

I've heard good things about the Auvio's from Radio Shack.   Also, if you check out HifiMans site, they have a new set of silicon's for the 400's that were not available before.    It's the same set that's offered for the 600's.

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

I tried these on the 400's.   Attenuated the high's and the upper mids a bit too much to my liking.    Much prefer the Comply TS-400's.

    A question for HiFiMan RE-400

I really like my RE-400's and they're really accurate in that they don't favor one frequency over another, but if you want to stay with bass heavy headphones, I'd suggest to look elsewhere.   This is a good place to start:  http://theheadphonelist.com/articles/earphone-buyers-guide/

[REVIEW] HifiMan RE400 ‘Waterline’ – The New Reference

Are they adding bass and/or limiting treble?     By the looks of the small bore tip, it looks like they would be limiting treble.    The RE-400's are VERY tip sensitive and I've found that the tips that have the largest bore tip as well as the best seal seems to work the best with these.

    HiFiMAN RE-400 Review

Ditto.   I got mine as soon as they were released, and I have no issues what so ever.      However, I hope it's not my luck that they break right after the warranty is up.

[REVIEW] HifiMan RE400 ‘Waterline’ – The New Reference

Quote:   TOTALLY agree.   With the right tips and the right insertion, these phones are NOT bass light and being that everyone's ear canals are different, it's going to take some experimentation to find the right ones.     And using this will help tremendously in that quest: ...

    HiFiMAN RE-400 Review

Quote: Ummm.........I tried the Sonys but due to the smaller opening at the tip, they had a tendency to attenuate not only the high end, but the upper mids as well.     They actually attenuated these freqs more than the Complys did.   On a side note, if you go to HifiMans site, they...

[REVIEW] HifiMan RE400 ‘Waterline’ – The New Reference

Quote:   Yup.  I have those tones sitting on my desktop and before I leave the house, I always run the test to check the seal.   It seems like about every 3rd time I put in my IEM's, I have to go back and re-insert and run the test again before I'm satisfied.    I know it sounds a bit...
