There shouldnt be a problem. Since the 1 extra segment is for the mic connection

If im not mistaken, The only difference between piston 3 and its youth version is build material and packaging. Their driver has the exact same spec and they also have the same diaphragm based on xiaomi's web. The minor sound difference might be caused by different housing of the driver.

I've got one of these. I'd say its more suitable for those who prefer vocals (especially female) and perhaps accoustic/accoustic music. The bass is there but not so powerful, which is natural for low-end openback cans. EQ should be able to fix it a lil bit i suppose.
