I hope it is much more than just a smoother and a bassier SR1a since neither are issues anymore in my setup... I must try it at home before buying.

To better understand and protect the headphones, could you please provide more specific volume levels at which the ribbons start making different noises? For example: Clicking noise from 15Hz to 30Hz at around 60dB Rattling noise from 30Hz to 40Hz at around 70dB Buzzing noise from 40Hz to 80Hz...

Yes I saw Darko's video ; Srajan bent the metal to have them floating. I bent the metal too ; they are floating a tad closer but maybe not dangling as much. Srajan did not remove the front pads though.

Thanks, I am curious to see the results. Don't forget to test with different flap openings to observe their influence on both soundstage and imaging. Additionally, sitting in a chair with a high, enveloping headrest can also influence the information you receive.

Do you get the same image confusion with the SR1a on this track? I am wondering if the cups could be the culprit.
