So, just to close the loop.... I've been enjoying the I bassos already! I always listen to new IEMs before burn-in, just to get a feel for their sound and to be able to compare how they are impacted by the burn-in process. These sounded so good, I just said screw it, I'm gonna listen to them...

I'm already happy! They seem just right. Now on to my next holy grail. I tried a number of on-ear phones but none of them were quite right. The Audio-Technicas had (in my opinion) the best sound, but the only one that significantly reduced noise around me - a requirement, as I mainly listen...

That sounds close to exactly what I am looking for, though perhaps not too V shaped. But it sounds just right. Thank you! I am also consider the FiioF9 Pro if you have any thoughts on that relative to the iBasso...but I don't plan to drag this out forever. Thank you again!

Thank you everyone for these informative thoughts. I'll give a look at the Campfires and the ibasso IT01s. Regarding the ibassos, I should note that I am not a basshead by any means, I just like a strong bass that I can feel and enjoy in the context of an overall balanced presentation.

Interesting...do you find the quads have enough "oomph" and power on their own, or do you agree with others here that some kind of EQ is needed? As I noted, I am enjoying the TRIPLE drivers, and thinking about upgrading to the Quads. I'm not a basshead, I lean toward a more balanced overall...

Hello all, I am currently engaged in a thread on best on-ear headphones under $200.00. People are very helpful and I've tried three or four, but it's becoming clear to me that for what I'm looking for, I'll have to increase the budget, and I really can't go much higher than the $150.00 range...

thank you. I do have the old model, but wired. It seems nice, but lacking in excitement. I know that may sound finicky, but it just doesn't seem to have much "oomph." That said, I am still breaking in and I plan to try with an amp, as it is a nice overall sound.

Isn't that the same as the HD-1 or Momentum On Ear Phone, which is what I've been experimenting with the last week or so (except wireless of course). Thank you
