I have bad experience with cheap chinese cables form Amazon. The microphonics are bad as hell. I use a balanced cable from Meze Audio. They heared my voice for a 4.4mm connector version. Its different build then the older 2.5 TRRS Version cable which was awesome with nearly zero microphonics...

Received my Plenue2 5 mins ago. Plugged in the Denon 5200 via 2.5 TRRS. Whats reaching my ears (i use BBE) is awesome. Was a goof choice. Im happy. Eyes getting wet while listening to my favourite songs. Nothing to complain.

Sorry, i havent tried the Plenue D with a headphone that was lacking in bass/mids or treble. I use my Denon AH-D5200 headphones nearly all the time. They deliver in every department. I call them neutral. But when you get crazy using the Plenue EQ or any other EQ (for example to elevate the bass)...

I also had to laugh a bit after re-reading my comment. The only sentence you can take "serious" ist the one with the stomach issue. Personal preference from a DAP on the stomach-user to have the headphone connections on top of the device. Im so grumpy and stubborn that i wont even use a software...

Small thing but a no-go for some users.
