    Koss KPH40 Utility Review/Impressions

It's my most used pair for a long time now. It's hard to use anything else with such good comfort. On top of that I don't find them fatiguing to listen to either. I don't think I have listened to anything that doesn't sound pleasing on them. Very good value. I've been reaching for CIEM when I...

    Campfire Audio Chromatic Series

The least fatiguing was the Blackstar so far for me. Cascara second least. Ponderosa and Bonneville both had a lot more up top. Bonnevilles seemed off to me so maybe a bad set. I find in general that CFA tuning is not as versatile as I'd like. Maybe the material you're listening to is hitting a...

Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire Discussion/Impressions Thread

I don't find I'm lacking anything with the Noire. The bass isn't overpowering or boomy and extends low. They are generally polite. I prefer using the two notch white felt to tame the highs as I am treble sensitive.

Yes. It was much too hot for me around 8khz without EQ. I tried these at Headphone Bar in Vancouver. I definitely wasn't expecting the Bonneville to sound like it did. The Cascara definitely sounded U or V shaped to me which I was expecting. I am sensitive to treble though so it might sound...

    Campfire Audio Chromatic Series

I tried out all the Cascara, Ponderosa, Bonneville and the Blackstar recently. Everything was too hot for me except the Cascara and the Blackstar. I thought the Bonneville sounded really anemic which was confusing considering what I had read so far about it. I thought maybe my source was broken...

Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire Discussion/Impressions Thread

In my experience it's pretty tricky to unroll the foam in the earpads. After some more practice though I realized that before I wasn't actually unrolling the foam but just stretching it back into place. Once you figure out how to actually move the foam back into original place it tends to stay...

Thanks for taking the step to clear that up!

I would be taking out the outer circle of screws on the right side cup and then measuring the two large traces directly on the driver PCB. The two connection points on the headphone are the Hirose connector and then the 2 pin molex wire to board connector on the driver board. If the resistance...

Pop off the driver and untwist it and pop it back on. It's a ball socket.

Modded broken pair of PX200 with mmcx connectors

I first got some PX100-IIs used and quite liked them so I have been on the lookout for any other similar models. Snagged these PX200 on Ebay broken. Converted them to MMCX connectors today. Used hot glue to keep the MMCX attached in the ear cups. Used original enamelled wired to wire them up...

Send a message to DCA and see what they say. Wouldn't be too hard to repaint em but you'd have to disassemble to get the ball joint out of the earcup. Or just bag mask it and hit with the matte black Rustoleum

Definitely not an incapability. Did DCA send you a replacement pair or did they repair your pair each time?

You can see the connector at the bottom in this image.

DCA has been replacing the drivers in sets with this issue. If it happens again you can confirm something is wrong by measuring the drivers with a multimeter in resistance mode. There also was a user that cleaned and reconnected the hirose to driver board connector inside the cup and it fixed...

    Aiaiai Tracks Headband Project

Old post but thought I'd say looks cool. Would be pretty easy to hand stick leather around that band.
