OPEN MODS? Thanks for your notes. I am trying to avoid EQ fixes as Tidal on my DAP does not have EQ functions. Hopeful we will hear from others before I perform this mod as it would be hard to close the cups if I change my mind.

Let's request feedback from PX8 owners that have NOT had any headband issues. Me for one. PX8 007, two years old. Daily use. No problems.

I have not heard the K11 with the CS DAC. I am partial to the AKM DACs, and I am very happy with the K7 for the headphones I use.

The K7 has both 1/4" (with a 3.5mm adapter), and 4.4mm jacks. There is a software update that turns the RGB off. The K9 AKM has much the same specs (but includes a Linear Power Supply). It also has the RGB sample rate lights. I like that the Blue and Yellow LEDs matches the LowRes/HiRes...

ELEGIA TO GRADO/AUDEZE TYPE HEADBAND REPLACEMENT I have a large head, but the smallest setting on the rods still left a gap. I added a cushion made from an old mouse pad (using double sided tape). This improves both the fit and the comfort. This was a fun project.

I am enjoying my FiiO K7 out of Win11 > Tidal. Very good value for money. Drives my Meze and Audeze phones with authority! Worth researching.

My least expensive DAC/amp is the FiiO KA3 (ESS). IMHO very good value. I have a short lightning cable to my iPhone6, driving my 7Hz Timeless with a 4.4mm balanced cable from Meze. A good application for my daily walks.

ELEGIA TO GRADO HEADBAND REPLACEMENT "Grado" Mod = 413gm. Stock weight is 430gm. I am feeling that the better fit has improved the overall tone. I have switched back to the stock pads (from the Dekoni Custom pads).
