My TT volume kept changing randomly the other day. Kept getting louder in stages. Odd... the light would just change colour on the ball and the volume jump up.- SAP7

The post above mine... suggested he was getting advice on power supply options. As you have said there is only one to consider for the TT so I was asking what power supply options he was getting advice on. Presumably for other bits of kit!?- SAP7

I was a bit harsh on the YouTube review. I watched it late as I was about to sleep and was annoyed it was so long... thought it was going to be a couple of minutes. once I started it I wanted to see it through! I guess I wanted some flashing lights and interaction to keep me from nodding. I...- SAP7

Sixteen minutes of your life you won't get back. Not one actual demo of the buttons, lights, or connections, and plenty of generic blather. Nothing new and you may as well watch a static picture of it. I'd avoid it... watch a few seconds and you've seen the best bit. It's audio only, really...- SAP7

It works fantastically as a pre amp. You've just posted that it looks odd in your system. I agree it's not ideal if you can't access the top and volume, but I don't think this argument goes beyond simplicity of use. Sound wise, it's better than most two box solutions out there (pre and DAC).- SAP7

For the info of chord, who do pass by these parts... I can understand the TT remote being a common one, with costs shared by putting a cheap plastic remote inside a metal case and using it across devices... At the time of doing this you had the chance to slide on top a different button sheet...- SAP7

Most dealers do that, if you ask! Subject to a deposit and checks etc. The other benefits are the size, extra inputs, display, remote (pre amp easier with remote volume) and the oomph you get for the supercaps and added power reserves. It's got balanced outputs, if you wanted them, and the...- SAP7

They have already weighed in as I asked the same question a few pages back. It's fine to leave it on. The designer leaves his on. No worries at all. Although the sound won't be improved, so turning it off isn't an issues. Either is ok!- SAP7

Not heard the noise. But will have a listen. I can live with that if it cuts out when the LEDs do. Price you pay for a few seconds of useful on screen info. As to the remote... My volume has always messed up the inputs to the extent I was thinking of sending it back. It doesn't always do...- SAP7

No risks to leaving it on permanently. The power draw when on is very low and it's not going to cost much. It won't harm it either way. The designer often just leaves his switched on. This is a repeat of what he said earlier in this thread, so it's correct and not just my opinion.- SAP7

I moved from modest RCA to decent XLR to hook up to my expensive mono blocks ( £5k worth) and I am not convinced. But I need to try a proper ABX. May be in my head.- SAP7
