Thanks for the update! That's unfortunate but I'm not surprised. I ordered from Amazon so I guess I'll just wait and see what happens between now and the end of my return period.

Has anyone heard from ifi regarding the firmware upgrade that will add osx compatibility. I was bummed to find out the FW version that adds MQA supports is incompatible with osx.

Nothing special they are the Edifier R1280t.     Since I do most of my critical listening through my DT800's or HD 800 I didn't spend to much on my desktop speakers.  I mostly just use them to watch YouTube videos.

  I just bought a pair of these for 12 dollars from Amazon.  For 12 dollars these sound excellent!

I've never gotten enough volume out of headphones driven by a smart phone. You might want to try a little headphone amp such as the Fiiio A1. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  I think you will notice a huge difference all around compared to what you have.   I have a pair of DT880's and ATH-M50's and I can tell you coming from those the difference is substantial.  I am new to this so the best way that I can describe it is that the music has tremendously more...

    This is going to be an expensive hobby.

Have you considred the Fiio X5 Gen 3.  It looks very appealing for the price.
