iFi audio Pro iDSD Signature and Pro iCAN Signature - The Pro range just got better!

The Empy II doesn't need the bass boost, but takes it like a champ if you ask it to :) Usually only use it when listening at low volume to compensate

iFi audio Pro iDSD Signature and Pro iCAN Signature - The Pro range just got better!

I think it works very well, the Empy II becomes more forceful over all and a little more present in the lower treble (it's always lush and enticing, I usually end up in a time warp that ends at 2 am no matter what time of day I sit down for a listen). The X-bass is absolutely bonkers with them...

iFi audio Pro iDSD Signature and Pro iCAN Signature - The Pro range just got better!

I just gave up on the “streamer” part and got a working solution.

    Meze EMPYREAN II

My guess is changed frame of reference. They heard the Sennheiser HE 1, realised that it wasn’t crazy detailed and they reevaluated what high end audio can be.

    Meze EMPYREAN II

A few notes after four months and hundreds of hours of listening. I’m still as excited to put them on as day one, they truly are amazing. For Soul & RnB they are in a league of their own. Both old school like Solomon Burke, Syl Johnson and modern stuff like Cleo Sol and Greentea Peng. That...

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

We were using the wrong term, microphonic is what I at least meant 😇

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

That is probably a good bet. You could probably check with the utopia cable just holding it to one of stellia cups to feel the vibrations.

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

I have two Forza cables for it, Forza Noir Mk2 (XLR) & Forza Claire Hybrid (4.4 mm). I'm not bothered by the mechanical noise since I apparently sit very still, but if you are sensitive to it I'd say both would annoy you. The Noir less so than the Claire by quite a bit though (fabric vs...

    Meze EMPYREAN II

I can wear the Stellias with worn pads ok (Elear with ZMF pads is like what you describe), so I’m guessing you’re just a tad bigger than me.

    Meze EMPYREAN II

I have them fully extended and it’s right on the verge of having too short rods (bottom of my ears lightly touching the pads), just as close as the Stellias. But way less clamp force and more comfy.

    Meze EMPYREAN II

As your resident Scandinavian giant, it’s very easy. It’s always fully extended no matter the headphone, and sometimes not even that’s enough. That said, the Empyrean II is very comfortable even for a person with a big head, if anyone’s wondering.

Looks like mine. Fabric and brown leather on the inside, dark dark brown on the outside

iFi audio iDSD Signature - The saga continues!

There are so many variables at play with audio. Two days ago I started messing around with filters and DSD upscaling (Pro iDSD Signature) and everything glued together all of a sudden, smoother treble which probably made me increase volume so the bass got fuller. It was a day with no stress or...

    Meze EMPYREAN II

The iFi Pro iCan Signature does that for me with the X-Bass function. Three levels of analog bass boost at the turn of a knob when a song needs it. Yes, an expensive solution but it really makes me enjoy certain music much more and unlike DSP it’s not on all the time.
