Can somebody ID this part?
No, unfortunately no schematic, that was the first question I posed when he showed me the picture. A schematic would tell us a lot, I'm sure. If I get my hands on the equipment, it will be a bit easier to determine what it is by putting my ohm meter on the resistor. Thanks for the response.- Tech2

Can somebody ID this part?
A friend of mine has an old piece of non-audio vacuum tube equipment and has asked me to identify a component from a photo. It looks to be a sort of variable resistor but I am not certain. He also asked me if it looks burned. I know this isn't audio related but I was hoping somebody could help...- Tech2

Little Dot MKIII case discoloration
I'll try and get some pics but I'll have to bring it home first - no cameras allowed at work. Besides that I don't know if it will be very evident in a picture. I did email Little Dot and I imagine that they may be interested in a picture, so I'll give it a shot. What is the finish on...- Tech2

Little Dot MKIII case discoloration
Haven't posted here for a while, but I have a question for Little Dot MKIII owners. My LD MKIII has been happily sitting on my desk at work receiving fairly regular use. It is about a year-or-so old. Note that I work in an office cubicle and there is nothing in the air that can be considered...- Tech2
