Oh the highs on the TH900 are absolutely killing my ears, but I decided to change to the ZMF Ori pads which thank god actually tamed the highs and brought the mids forward a bit. So now I'm all good with it.

To be honest, at one point I did consider buying one of the Denon or Emu Teak headphones. After searching some more I just decided on buying the Fostex TH900 MK2.

Honestly, can't remember. It's been like 3 years+ since I dabbled in this hobby. The only thing I've heard and liked but did not buy was the Campfire Andromedas. I have not tried any top of the line headphones though, like I'm talking $4,000 and up.
