Issue with Schiit Bifrost//Macbook Pro 2016
Issue: The Schiit Bifrost is not coming up in the sound output selection in OSX. What seems to work: -When restarted in Windows via boot camp, the Schiit Bifrost both comes up in the sound output and works. -In OSX, when I look at my -ioreg -p IOUSB or system_profiler SPUSBDataType, the...- thisthingz

Schiit Lyr - The tube rolling thread
Hey all, I was wondering what the use of socket savers are for... I thought they made replacing tubes easier, but the connection between the tube and socket saver is tighter than the socket saver to the lyr. Maybe I just made up the use of socket savers completely in my head... anyone have...- thisthingz

Schiit Lyr - The tube rolling thread
Quote: For reference, I'll sum my very limited experience with LCD's I was able to listen to the LCD2/LCD3/HD800 for about five minutes each, about 5 months ago on some amp, that I think was somewhat fancy but wasn't able to get the name of at the time. From that time, I found that...- thisthingz

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: I would agree with the d7k's, or LCD2/3. I think the HE-6's and HD800 are too similar. I feel like the HE-6 is a tad warmer/smoother, and the hd800 a tad less bassy/better mids- thisthingz

Could use help - selling my LCD2s to get??
I would suggest the T1 between the HD700, 800, LCD2r2, and D7000. The D7000 is the most similar to the LCD-2. It is bassy and separation isn't so great. The t1 soundstage isn't as expansive as the hd800 but the separation and clarity are very close while being a tad bit warmer. It's...- thisthingz

Schiit Lyr - The tube rolling thread
Hey all, I glanced through the thread with the search function- but couldn't find a current answer. What tubes do you guys think will pair best with a T1? Both best for the money- and best in general would be very appreciated. I'm using a lyr/bifrost setup. Thanks in advance!- thisthingz

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: I haven't heard the denon d2k, but perhaps find one of those if you can. I think the reactions towards those are much less bipolar than the pro900's. and also, the cost of the kees mod is about 5$... if thats what you mean by fully modded- thisthingz

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Quote: The kee's mod kind of helps midrange, but I feel like it does that by toning down the bass, and make the treble a little less sharp. J$ pads are well worth the money, if you are already going the pro900 route. they make a much larger difference than the kee's mod in my opinon. I...- thisthingz
