Amp/DAC for HD650s
I have paired the 650's with a Stello DA 100 Signature and Vincent KHV-1pre for more than two years and have been delighted. Only downside is both the Vincent and 650's prefer to play a bit loud. Source is the Stello CDT 100. Use a Shunyata Hydra 4 for power conditioning; with a Python from...- tomk

Another request for HD650 amp advice....
I am listening to the 650's powered by a Vincent Audio KHV-1/pre; both like to play loud and are a very good match. The 650's like power and the Vincent has a boat load.- tomk

I2S Cables
Recently Srajan Ebaen at 6moons reviewed the Entreq I2S Discovery cable. A favorable review. Have any Head Fi members tried the cable? Designed for the Stello CDT 100 and DA 100 Signature, the cable uses 5 pin Mini DIN.- tomk

How miserable can one be?
Leave the soldering iron alone; also firearms, explosives and heavy equipment. Old Grand Dad bourbon, Honkers Ale and 50's C & W are your only hope. And do not listen to the Suicide Kings! Great music, bad timing.- tomk

Interest check: Las Vegas meet
June? Mighty quick. I am out of town the last ten days in May. Gone the week of June 21st. Gotta spend a week in the Pacific Northwest somewhere in the May/June time period. Just spent a week in the Garden State. How big of a meet are y'all planning anyway? Maybe we need to meet at a Starbucks...- tomk

Interest check: Las Vegas meet
Good Evening Sin City Head-Fi Members, Thought this thread was dead. Still willing to help with the meet. CES 2011 may be prime time, but hotel rooms go way up in price during the exhibit. Summer 2010 may have the best room rates. Should be a bit of work, but a good time. Hope somebody brings...- tomk

Lavry da10, da11 and the stello da100sig
I have owned the Stello DA100 Signature for more than a year and have been delighted. I listen to Classic C & W, seems to work well. I wanted a transport, am using the Stello CDT 100, and that was a big factor in the purchase decision. The combo works well thru a Vincent Audio KHV-1/pre and Senn...- tomk

Upgrade from Senn 650 to what? For music...
I use a Vincent KHV-1/pre to drive the 650's and have no problem getting sufficient bass. The combination works well.- tomk

Vincent KHV-1 any good ? Or WA6....
I am late to the party on this thread. I own the Vincent KHV-1/pre and use it with the Senn HD-650; an outstanding combination. Both like to play loud and clearly sound best with the volume up. My music choice is classic Country & Western; Ray Price, Buck Owens and Webb Pierce are...- tomk

Good Evening Azathoth, Never heard of Evoken or their song, "Antithesis of Light," but that is a real wrist-slasher. -

The most downright depressive song you have ever heard
Good Evening Big Poppa, A great choice of Wedding Bells, by Hank Williams. More than a few of Hank's songs would qualify. I like sad, sad songs.
