Comment by 'Trevayne10' in item 'Panasonic RP-HTF600-S Step Monitor'
Within a year, these things will crack and break at the joints where the earcup shells attach to the headband. I've had two of these phones, and within a year they just fell to pieces in my hands. Very flimsy and pointlessly complex construction at the swivel joints. Normal use...no rough...- Trevayne10

Review by 'Trevayne10' on item 'Samson Z35 Closed Back Over-Ear Studio Headphones'
Sound quality of the Samson Z35 is superb. Clean and flat sound signature, but powerful, fairly deep bass extension, crystal clear mid-highs, very clean, well-defined sparkling treble. No spikes, no surprises anywhere. Very real presence and convincing sound stage. Fit is very comfortable...- Trevayne10

Samson Z35 Closed Back Over-Ear Studio Headphones
Samson's Z35s are closed-back, over-ear studio headphones that share a clarity and presence found throughout the Z Series. Their natural, flat response stems from Samson's experience in studio monitor design. Ideal for listening to music and field audio, the Z35s feature convenient, collapsible...- Trevayne10

Samson Z35 ? Looking for new headphones
Hi Niggght - Just got my pair of Samson Z35s - Samson replaced my SR950s with these, free of charge. They just work. Great. Sound is fantastic. Clean, flat, but powerful...kinda hard to explain. Deep bass extension, crystal clear high-mids to high, clean, sparkling treble. No spikes, no...- Trevayne10

Samson Z35 ? Looking for new headphones
Samson is shipping me a set of brand new Z35 headphones (closed back), free of charge, to replace my beloved (but unreliable) SR950s. The cord and plug went bad. I have to say, from day one, right out of the box, there was some very suspicious-looking insulation about an inch above the plug...- Trevayne10

Reply to review by 'trevayne10' on item 'Panasonic RP-HJE120-K In-Ear Earbud Ergo-Fit Headphone (Black)'
Hi gobin - thanks for your reply. I usually wrap the leads of IEM's over my ears...kind of a habit. Not sure how it works, but it vastly reduces cable noise and microphonics, so maybe I should have reserved judgement on that score.- Trevayne10

They just work. Nice, clear & flat-sounding (nothing in audio spectrum particularly stands out - a good thing, if you want to approach "analytical", which these things most assuredly are not). Listening to 320 kbps ambient tracks on internet-radio.com right now. Very immersive, good sound...- Trevayne10

Rocket, I read somewhere that the 3905s really compromise on overall sound quality for the sake of Philips including a mic. Cost-cutting measure, in other words. So, the actual signature - and the end user - pays the price: the 3905 is apparently kind of dull, tinny and distant-sounding. All...- Trevayne10

These are just plain excellent. I was never really a believer in IEMs, but I am now. These Philips SHE3590s are a real eye-opener. According to the ratings here on Head-Fi, these do, in fact, out-perform some of the $400+ kit...and I am not surprised. The main complaint regarding sound...- Trevayne10

Not directed at anyone in particular, but just what the heck is headphone "burn-in" supposed to be, anyway? It seems to me that you "burn-in" headphones just by using them. Not a believer. Never heard anything so ridonculous in my life! "Burn-in", indeed.- Trevayne10

Nice review on the SR850, ZigG - I think you'd be happier with its newer, tamed "big brother", the SR950. Much of the tonal & signature defects of the 850 have been corrected in the 950 - a much nicer listen, all around. Clean, solid sub-bass & bass...and surprisingly detailed highs, a very...- Trevayne10

The Sennheiser Orpheus Experience or the day I went to a holistic health clinic to listen to the best headphones in the world.
Bloody hell, wink - so you've moved on from clobbering your cranium with bricks - now it's hammers and anvils. Quite the hobby you have there! Try skipping the "heavy sledge hammer and anvil" bit...any entry-level pair of JVCs or Audio-Technicas should provide you with the same results.- Trevayne10
