McIntosh MHA200 Impressions
We had a customer come in last week with his Rag 2. I took a good listen. It was pretty good pairing for the money.- TSAVJason

McIntosh MHA200 Impressions
I’m not sure which way they’ll go. The McIntosh Group is under new ownership so predicting new products is not as easy as it once was. There is a prototype that is 100% tube but other than that I don’t know the future of it yet.- TSAVJason

If I understand correctly yes you can only use 1 source unless you add a preamp that allows input switching- TSAVJason

McIntosh would likely have both a trigger AND a button/selector switch for manual or automatic use- TSAVJason

The prototype still has it however it’s not as tricky. I don’t know if it will reach the market with that feature but I recommended against It for this format of amplifier. I actually think that the amp should have a main in to use it more like a main amp. Leaving the impedance matching active...- TSAVJason

Yes there is a newer more powerful version coming but I’m not sure when. Instead of 500mv it will 1500mv making harder to drive headphone easier to get up and go- TSAVJason

New McIntosh MHA200 Headphone amp
I don’t disagree the V2 is easier to drive but I still think if you listen at high levels you might want to audition the pair first before making the purchase- TSAVJason

McIntosh MHA200 Impressions
It’s got a bigger connectors on them than you’d expect but the Tributaries 6P C7 (I think) is my favorite. I like it because it really did show a noticeable lift in the ease of energy. Almost any brand of consequence like AudioQuest and so on will help but that one by tributaries stands out more...- TSAVJason

The Amazing Audio Research I50 integrated with headphones is way better than expected.
I’m sorry I just now saw this. With new ownership and restructuring going on this is still going to be a wait. Maybe 2026- TSAVJason
