Has anyone else noticed small chips or roughness around the rim of the 4.4MM plug? my unit is absolutely brand new. never opened, factory fresh. Yet, it looks a little chipped along the copper rim of the 4.4 nothing major, wont loose sleep over it but just curious if anyone else noticed this.

Actually a buddy of mine whos a wiz with android OS stuff. Told me if you go into apps & notifications > google > disable. then re-start the device. it should be gone and the "default" system search will be displayed. and tbh its way nicer and less distracting :)

i think 95% of my library is 16bit 44.1 FLAC so i should be hopefully ok with battery life :) i never stream or wifi. so battery should last me a good while.

just a random question, i ordered my sony zx507 few days ago. and the over priced sony official case for it from japan (oh well :( its required) but whats the main difference betwesn the zx500, 505 and 507? is it a region thing ??

I mean i'll most likely be using this DAP with my B&O H6, Sony 7506, Sony z7m2, AKG 371. i wont be using it with my DT1990 Pro, really no point since they're more for desktop use anyways.

I dont run IEMs, so that wont be an issue. i think my "portable" drivers are the B&O H6(Gen2) and Sony 7506. which the A&K SR15 was able to drive at around 60-70 volume. I'm assuming the Alpha Kann can easily drive them at a much lower volume? maybe 30-40 ?

is the ZX507 powerful enough through BE to drive the Sony Z7m2? im a bit worried that it wont be, despite the images shown on the website of the z7m2 being plugged into it.
