Help me cure my represed bass adiction. IEM and bassboost needed. Anyone with newer sony walkman experience?
I got the Hippo VB recently, and I would thoroughly recommend them. They have the most amount of bass I have ever heard in an iem, without muddiness or rattling. Straight out of an iPod they produce sub bass that is crazy, they will also benefit from good amping. But it is important to...- Twoguns

Looking for a USB DAC + amp to pair with SR325is's
Is the purpose of this quote to accuse me of being an unscrupulous dealer? It has been discussed in other threads what the difference in between the american and korean models from Styleaudio are. As I have never sold any Styleaudio products on HeadFi, I do not appreciate the sentiment...- Twoguns

Looking for a USB DAC + amp to pair with SR325is's
I am an avid advocate for Styleaudios offerings. Am currently running the Carat Peridot, with my 325i's and they do sound great together. It also handles my HD650's. I have a more advanced rig with a modded MF X-Can... but keep coming back to the Peridot for convenience. PM me if you would like...- Twoguns

Rotel CD
I own a Rotel RCD 965-BX LE, and its a pretty good player in its own right. It was considered the most legendary and upgradeable of the Rotel-players in the 90s. It is filled with Black-gates, and the DAC-chip is the SAA7323GP (very analogue-sounding). By reclocking, which there are a lot of...- Twoguns

Whisky (or Whiskey) Fi
For Japanese Whisky's I would say that Nikka Yoishis is like the Audio-Technica ATH-ESW10JPN... and Hanyu Ichiro's Malt King of Spades 21 years old, is like any Vintage highend Stax- Twoguns

Cable Believers -- Price/quality tipping points?
In response to OP, I'd say that there are no real price "tipping-points" you will find similar build-quality in cables from 200 to 10,000 USD. At a certain price-point in my opinion, things turn into good marketing, and voodoo. Rather look for reviews and components used to build the cable to...- Twoguns

Least Fatiguing and comfortable headphone in your experience
I'd vote for the MB Quart/German Maestro's. They are certainly the most comfortable for long listening, due to the fact that they have a suspension-sytem for the cups. They are not as detailed as the Beyer's (which I'd also vote for) but they do have a very smooth soundstage. Try to find some...- Twoguns

Are hp stands necessary?
I think when you get enough headphones, a stand is really neat, it keeps them in one place.. I used to have 6 cans just laying on top of my desk (with dust-protection mind you) but its so much nicer to have them all on a stand.- Twoguns
