It's a known issue with the latest firmware if using custom eq. It should play normally with the presets though. We're waiting for this fix by Audeze .

No issues with sidetone on any firmware for me.

IIRC you must turn on the headset to connect to the dongle plugged to the computer for the dongle to turn on. The PC should recognize it. Then you should get the option to update dongle within the app.

@Audeze Playing simultaneous audio specifically in BT LDAC and AUX causes the BT audio to stutter very bad. Any other combination is fine though. Not sure if known already.

Did you try making a new order in case the retailers are prioritizing newer ones? This is the EQ I'm primarily using for now for gaming and music. Sometimes I may increase 32Hz to 2 dB.

@Audeze I think it'll help if someone update the user guide how to properly upgrade firmware. I spent about 10 minutes looking around the site before diving in the forums.

I never tried open backs before, as I prefer the convenience of a wireless headphone. But I've always had my eye on the LCD series and the new Meze 109 Pro. Hopefully someday I'll get them

Glad I was helpful! I changed mines in the 16kHz to 7dB and Raised 32Hz to 2 dB. Everything's the same. It's a chef's kiss so far.

If interested, can anyone look at my custom preset please: It's experimental. I love this preset so far though. I'm playing anime music on it right now. What do you suggest to make it better? Any criticisms? Forgot to add, this was made only with rock, j-pop music in mind.

The Maxwell is a follow-up to the Penrose. With the Penrose you may have pops and cutouts because of interference in the 2.4GHz spectrum. The Maxwell uses a BT for the PS5 and the interference is non-existent in my experience.

You can double-press the volume wheel to activate EQ, and turn them accordingly to a different preset. A voice prompt will indicate what preset you're on.
