Bricasti M1S2 D/A Converter (DAC) - Now Available and in Stock
And then even further, many people with multiple multi-kilobuck headphones and crazy expensive chains still use a HD600-series because they sound better than a lot of really expensive cans for certain genres and scale incredibly well. not disagreeing with your point but you picked the wrong...- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I would not get Diana's for metal. My HD600's with the TT2 sound infinitely better for metal/metalcore/rock than the Dianas ever did. However for more mellow music with less impact (classical/soundtracks, pop, jazz, vocal music), the combo does sound truly amazing. The Dianas to me with the TT2...- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I was a “digital is digital” person, until I tried a good streamer from Innuos. the difference is night and day when it comes to detail/resolution, separation, and soundstage. I got an expensive streamer before I got my TT2, and it made my cheaper DAC sound so much better. it’s something that’s...- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
yup, the TT2 sounds so good it has a way of making you realize that you don't always need to keep looking for more/better/more expensive, but ironically it's expensive itself :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I'm looking at summit-fi IEM's, but right now I'm listening to my HD600s through the TT2...- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
That does seem to be the consensus, and after trying it for myself I agree with it. I have the exact same setup as you; TT2 with Diana V2, and also a Ferrum Oor + Hypsos. I bought the Ferrum stack first after I got the headphones. It's definitely a great amp with a ton of power. Then I bought...- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
For me personally, using the TT2 front headphone output to the Abyss Diana V2 was a night and day difference compared to using amp output high gain with RCA to the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos (allegedly the most transparent output from the TT2). I was almost about to return the TT2 before I used the...- wafa98435

It’s funny because I think the TT2 is way better looking. The ferrum stack is very well-built and solid, but sometimes I feel like it looks like a rusted old engine block 😅- wafa98435

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
just recently got a TT2, and all I can say is “wow” while listening to music. long time lurker here as I was getting into more high-end headphone gear. I ended up getting the Abyss Diana V2’s and the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos stack in April, using with my Lake People RS-06 dac (parent company of...- wafa98435
