  1. HiFiMAN HE-500

    4.00 star(s)
The HiFiMan HE-500, practically perfect in every way. The HE-500 were pretty new territory for me. I have always used Dynamic headphones and was content with them. Then These seductive sirens caught my eye and well....head-fi had it's way with my better judgment and wallet; and by god I'm glad it did! DR.Fang has stuck diamonds and gold with these headphones and has certainly showed me the ways of the Planar Magnetics mystical powers. First off I would like to start by saying that these headphones are the most expensive headphone I have...
  2. COWON J3 32 GB Portable Media Player (Black)

COWON J3 16GIG V.S. I TOUGH 2nd gen 8GIG*for sale and jail breakable* Well where to begin.... I got this to replace my Itouch*that it for sale* due to the fact that the headphone jack is broken an easy fix I have guides for but I was looking for any excuse to get rid of the thing. I like the features the Itouch offers. I must say it is a great little handheld micro tablet*so to speak* but the output is just baaaaaad. The Cowon J3 puts it to shame in terms of audio out put. Running the Ipod at max volume is about running the J3 at 28*caps at 40*...
  3. Grado Reference RS2 Headphones

Wow...where to start, as I said this is MY Audio Nirvana. I suppose I should start by saying that I love the Grado sound, or at least I thought I did as I had only tried the sr80i and bought them and the 225i and was underwhelmed by the price to performance. The signature of the sr80i was a fantastic fit for me but I HATED  the high end. The Grado RS-2 were some what of a shock to me thinking the Grado sound was very in your face and Bright, with NO bass and a sibilant high end. The RS-2 are not at all like that in fact I think the 325is start to...
  4. Sennheiser HD448 Around the Ear Headphones

    4.50 star(s)
I got these head phones a little less than a month ago, I'm in love with them now. The over all sound signature is very mid-centric but that not saying the highs are left behind, yes yes the highs are fairly recessed, but they are detailed just not over powering. The bass is more thudy than punchy but with bass boost its quite a monster. for the price i got them at i see no reason to be in any way disappointed. I am getting a tube amp to see how they sound with that, hopefully color the sound  bit and give it the tubey sound.
