ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
Ahh, I was curious how this Caldera compared weight wise with the others. Now I know. I have the #539 LTD Brown Malee Overrun. I am the second owner. It is truly a piece of work for sure. Watching your video now on the Caldera close.- harris4crna

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
I am loving my Caldera. It is the only HP I need to force myself to take them off. I had neck pain for a week after I bought them. Now, I got smart and I use a traveling pillow around my neck to assist with weight bearing.- harris4crna

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
My sentiment 100% and the point I tried to convey. You did it so eloquently. The technical gap may or may not be vast, but who cares. Plus, I too, keep my Mojo 1 around for those nostalgic days when I want to hear that warm cloudy sound. I sold my Hugo and TT2 because I want the gap to cater to...- harris4crna

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I swap listening sessions between the MM2 and MDave all the time. On a scale of overall sound to include detail, transparency, resolution and sound stage I would put the gap as minimal to moderate. The MDave is definitely better to my ears in everything. If the MDave was a 10, I would put the...- harris4crna

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I am going to be lazy. Are you saying I connect my system to a lithium battery like a Blue Yetti and the sound is better than connecting to a home outlet. I am not an electronic engineer, so I understand Barny electronic talk.- harris4crna

Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements
I am considering either the GX mini or Feliks-Audio ENVY to drive my ZMF Calderas. I already own the DAVE, but do not foresee being settled with its sound signature all the time. Which amp would you recommend with the Calderas between the two?- harris4crna

Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements
I have the BHSE with CRBN and L700. Used to own the 009 and heard the X9k on my system many times. Yes, you can have both the CRBN and X9k in your inventory. The sound signatures definitely complement each other well and is well suited in the collection with the BHSE if desired.- harris4crna

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
I know I am not telling anyone anything new here, but this headphone is special. It sounds as good, and perhaps even better on my MMojo 2 than MDave. It is such a stable consistent headphone in sound signature despite what drives it. Looking forward to hear it with tubes.- harris4crna

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
Received the Caldera yesterday. Needed to make myself go to bed after hours of listening pleasure. Listening to them on the Dave and Mscaler. Good to hear they sound great on the Envy. Like to audition on the Envy one of these days. Contacted Headamp, but they have yet to return my email, sigh....- harris4crna

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
I do not have answer, but the only issue I have with the Caldera is the weight. I came from light type headphones. Hope to get used to it. Difficult to limit my time since these by far is the best HP I've heard. Love them- harris4crna

HIFIMAN HE-R10 Closed-Back Headphones Discussion & Impressions
Great review. Concur, R10D does sound better with lower power and a more analytical amp/dac. I use the mojo 2 for my listening. I would be interested in a review of the R10P with other closed back HPs.- harris4crna

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I have and continue to use the HD700 more than any other HP I own. The second most would be the Bose sport wired and wireless that I use for exercise. Sometimes what is practical becomes the most used. I am not walking around with my Stax 700 MK2 or Audeze CRBN on a daily basis. Will use the HD...- harris4crna

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
The L700s provide me a different listening experience. It takes a few minutes with them on my head to start enjoying them. They are so forward sounding in comparison to the CRBNs. But, when, I get into the music, I prefer the L700s for pure listening pleasure. When I want to relax, listen to the...- harris4crna

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
I cannot agree the L500 mk 2 is in the same league as the CRBN. I own the L700k and the CRBN and it's not in the same league. Just the built and comfort alone in the CRBN is better than the Stax Lambda series. Then add the depth, dynamics and sound stage. Perhaps you prefer the Stax sound...- harris4crna

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
Off topic, but you know the HP-2 headphone stand that I purchased in Japan is made of a different robust wood than the stand I bought at Headamp. Anyone else have had this experience?- harris4crna
