One thing my "new" CD player has done is it's forced me to listen to my headphones unequalized. So with the SASH Tres for example, I can either anguish over the relatively soft upper mids and smoothed treble, or I can just settle down, accept the sound signature for what it is, and appreciate...

Can't you do this by cascading multiple 2-into-1 USB switches? You'd need a bunch of them and the whole setup would be a bit complicated to use, but it would get the job done.

Maybe it's the fact my 880's are 600ohm, or maybe it's got something to do with the way my soundholes are shaped, but I don't find them to be excessively bright or anything. Yes, they're the sharpest headphones I own, but everything in the sound signature is exactly where it should be.
