Yes, the dsp is quite good of the RME Adi 2 (pro and dac). You can even use an ipad/android tablet to configure the EQ (and other settings). It's a bit complicated on first use without the RME app.

With an otg (ifi) usb-c cable and a 3rd party audioplayer (USB Audio Player PRO, Hiby Music, ...) it will work fine. Spotify does not play bit perfect but it should be possible too.

I have never had the first Neo iDsd. But I must say that I am very impressed with the sound signature and the HP amp of the iDsd2! I have heard quite a lot of amps and dacs! Pretty impressed about the ifi neo idsd2! Punchy, organic (musical). The Ps2000e seems to need power setting 1 (of 3). Without xbass enabled but the crossfeed(xspace) is on. For the GS3000x I enabled xbass on setting 1. @iFi audio

I am pretty happy with the Loxjie p20 as hybrid tube/ss amp and it's fully balanced for 120 euro. They are a bit hard to get, but I got 2 of those with some different tubes.

Yesterday, I tried out the external dac loop on the Meier Audio Soul with an Earman Angel as dac. It was very good!
