2 words: Black Cat (IEM cable by NiceHCK for ~$20 on AliExpress) Still keeps many of the pokemon Chi-Fi IEMs at under $50 (IEM + improved cable), and still represent an AMAZING value! As I shared privately with some of my buddies offline, IMHO Chi-Fi made very big steps in the last 1-2 years...

I personally use both open and closed headphones. Having said that, HiFiMAN's open backs are much better (to my taste and preferences) than their closed back... 🤷‍♂️

On somewhat frequent sales, HiFiMAN discounts Susvara by as much as 25% for open box (with full warranty). So, you could already buy Susvara for $4,500... Maybe the introduction of a new flagship would permanently drop Susvara to $3-4k price? I am definitely NOT a Susvara expert by any means...

I do not believe additional CanJam is in the cards, so you may be disappointed if you keep waiting for that to happen. However, plenty of local meetups all over... Just saying ;-)

In my previous job, I used also HD569, but I drove it from Monoprice DAC/Amp (I forget the model, but it was ~$100). Excellent low-cost good-sound setup! Actually, I still own my HD569... I wonder if it makes sense to keep it once I get my HD620S :thinking:
