Woo Audio WA23.....
It could be that 465 somehow doesn’t have good synergy with dynamic drivers but works very well with planars. A couple of headfiers reported that 465 doesn’t go well with Valkyria, which is not a planar headphone. WA23 makes more sense in this case.- normie610

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis
When you mentioned wm1a in your earlier post, I thought you were referring to the Sony Walkman WM1A. But it’s clear from the bolded words above that what you meant was the VM1a amp 👍🏼- normie610

Spirit Torino Valkyria
I did try to close 2 and 3 of the holes but like you, I didn’t like the sound. More closed in soundstage, and it loses its airiness. Instrument separation becomes less apparent and overall tonality becomes a bit wonky. I agree that EQ should be the way to tweak the sub-bass if desired...- normie610

Spirit Torino Valkyria
In my experience, Valkyria sounds best with linear sounding tube amps. With my CFA3, similar to your experience, the mid-bass can be a bit anemic with some of the songs, but with my Primavera, I haven't encountered an instance where kick drums sound anemic. As a matter of fact, Primavera...- normie610

Riviera AIC-10 headphones & speakers amplifier
If you already have a preamp or a DAC with volume control, perhaps you can consider AFC-10 as an alternative. It’s a bit cheaper than the AIC.- normie610

For those of you who are interested in seeing internal pics of Primavera, you can find them here: https://6moons.com/audioreview_articles/trafomatic-audio-primavera/ I believe our fellow head-fier @simorag is in the process of reviewing the amp for 6moons.- normie610

Spirit Torino Valkyria
My tube pre has 300B as output tubes, 6SL7 as input tubes, GZ34 as rectifiers, and 0D3A as regulator tubes. So many permutations there, but for the 300B, definitely Elrogs as the WE300B sounds more bloated and darker to my ears, which does not suit Valkyria. My tube amp can only use one type of...- normie610

RAAL 1995 Immanis
I used to apply AutoEQ settings to my headphones, but after I tried Mitch convolution filters, they’re in a different league. Much much better sounding than AutoEQ PEQ to my ears.- normie610

Couldn’t agree more. As a big fan and early adopter of both SR-1a and CA-1a, I know what I’m expecting from Immanis and there’s no reason for me to curb my expectations.- normie610

KG CFA3 headphone amp
People are waiting for Headamp's CFA3 deliveries. So I guess the majority prefers to buy it off the shelf rather than building it themselves or commission someone to build it for them. Here's the link to Headamp CFA3 official thread...- normie610

Very nice indeed! Look forward to your impressions. As is the case with other amps, rolling the driver tubes can be used to fine tune the sound. And with Valkryia, I found that the 50 ohm impedance works best for my tastes.- normie610
