Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Im playing around with a €15 little Savitech BravoHD with SA9227 USB driver chip to Spdif & Toslink. It does 384k like a charm. Ofc toslink goes as far as 192k. Skipping forth and back live while playing between coax and toslink makes no difference in SQ with Hms dual optical linked to Dave.- Reactcore

OptoDX comes as a set of TX and RX units. SRCDX is mostly used with software upsampling and to bypass a Chord DAC's USB chip.- Reactcore

Oh i tweaked my heart out.. just see the links in my signature 😄 For streamers theres plenty choces.. id say go with the most convenient interfaced one. I dont stream myself, ive made a player out of a thinclient PC with a ddc and foobar2k & Jriver MC with multiple remote apps on my...- Reactcore

Stick with Mscaler and keep your DAC isolated from noise imo preferably using optical. It eases your mind not to keep tweaking software parameters so you can enjoy the music - Reactcore

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I said it earlier.. Mscaler is hugely dependent on the source being bitperfect. Even a 1% software volume attenuation or dsp/eq breaks down its abillity to reconstruct PCM samples with good result. And imho really some tracks are so much digitally studio processed that Mscaler ..eg more taps...- Reactcore

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
If i hadnt found out the clarity my hd800 now gives with the inner sheets removed.. i would have gone D8000(pro) too.. The non pro has a more profound bass while the pro is brighter with wider soundstage.. closer to hd800- Reactcore

Ive found another article on this Russian site: https://next-hifi.ru/obzory/new-4-million-taps-digital-processor-m-scaler-quartet/ And put it through a translator. Rob Watts is raising the bar Four million equations in the new M Scaler Quartet processor. At the Munich exhibition, Chord...- Reactcore

Considering 1v, 75A makes 75W. But im sure this much is only drawn on 4M and only while playing/processing.. like HMS- Reactcore

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Dave set on DAC mode (hold left/right buttons simultaniously) sets its volume at -3dB and i believe that means 3v output. To get 2v it must be more like -5dB or so I remember someone posted a list once Edit: youre right with Blu also added you should do +3dB = -2dB- Reactcore

75A could never run through those thin wires he used on the proto.. 1mm2 wires would get burning hot.- Reactcore

I think the PSU outputs a higher voltage and each FPGA has its own DC-DC converter to 1v, just like the current Mscaler. DC-DC circuit direct on other side of FPGA- Reactcore

This is interesting indeed, one could ditch crossover filters in speakers. I would then really like to also see phase shifting options to align the speaker drivers 😃 One also needs two DAC's to feed the signals. But i think the outputs are hardware circuit bound together by a multiplexer chip- Reactcore

Make this a suggestion for @Rob Watts for if its not in there. He can still implement some functions before it gets frozen with the release. Perhaps we should create a wishlist- Reactcore
