HQPlayer Impressions and Settings Rolling Thread
Yes, and some HQPlayer modulators don't work if the source is 48-rate family but the DAC doesn't support that, so having a DAC that supports both helps get the most of of HQPlayer!- LoryWiv

Well, at least it apparently can do either (regarding the 48k selector switch on HQPlayer, would thus likely select to "on" for this DAC).- LoryWiv

Nice, plethora of great DAC options. I'm curious: What is the lower right on Cyan 2 "44.1k / 48k" indicating during DSD playback?- LoryWiv

Great post @MLGrado, you are right it is so nice when the music overtakes the quest. I am having a similar lovely Sunday afternoon, currently not wanting for more but just enjoying the timeless and eternal Bach Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II now as played by Gerlinde Otto. My Matrix ES9038 DSAC...- LoryWiv

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Impressive, yes, but can he listen to those ginormous speakers at the gym, gardening or cycling? I suppose he could carry them around the house and skip the workout as that would be some serious weight lifting.- LoryWiv

Hmmm, the Aviot TE-ZX1-PNK drivers are: 10mm Dynamic Driver + 6mm Planar Magnetic Driver + Balanced Armature Drives x 3. I would have thought the DD was the primary bass driver...but perhaps not? In any case, I do really enjoy me set but admittedly am not a full-on bass-head. :smile_phones...- LoryWiv

Holo Audio Cyan 2 DAC
Wow, @Terr0rSandmannLuxx, appreciate this well-written and insightful review very much. I currently use a Matrix DAC with an ES9038 similar to Topping D90SE but unlike your solid state Burson I output to a tube amp. What are your thoughts as to whether R2R DAC combined with a tube amp. may be...- LoryWiv

My experience as well...last time I was visiting my daughter in NYC I disappeared innocently into Audio46 for a look-see-hear and somehow I am now the owner of a Focal Utopia 2022. The team there WAS GREAT though, just as you say, and it's nice to be able to support good people along the journey...- LoryWiv

Hoping to turn down the temperature and get back to sharing our passion for tubes that perform beautifully in Super UltimatE, across the spectrum of cost and respecting each other's views without mistaking passion for insult. I am looking forward to trying the Duo pads that ship w/Meze Emopyrean II on my Elite. Reportedly they will be sold deparately within a few weeks. Some have suggested it is improvement even over the angled alcantara.- LoryWiv

Let us know how the Forza cables work out for you. Although I sold mine for a pricier one, not sure how superior it is. Forza are perhaps the best quality to price ratio cables around! BTW nice to see another Bay Area audio enthusiast, quite a few of us here on head-fi!- LoryWiv

@Zachik my friend, just received the aforementioned 5B-255M. They are silent as a church mouse in the UltimatE power slot, no extraneous noise. Adapters (5B-255M --> 6V6/6Y6) were from from XulingMrs before he closed up shop, and they work very well. 1st impression is these are classic...- LoryWiv

Eletech Baroque (standard, not the TWS version). SoftEars fit well too but I preferred sound on the Baroque.- LoryWiv
