Quick question about beats audio software

I know the software considered around here is just a fancy equalizer, however out of all the EQ's I have tried, the bass quality and quantity compared to other EQ's is just better sounding to me on the beats audio. (Me being a basshead)   Are there something wrong with my ears? Or am I just...

Why are crossfade LP so disliked?

They seem to be just like the sony xb line in a sense. At the times where the price goes down, (like now), they seem like a sensible deal.   Is there something I'm missing? Like for example with the klispch s4's I found the highs were exceedingly screechy. Is it something like that?

    Sony XB500's vs. Citiscape uptown/downtown

How do those two headphones compare to each other in terms of bass?   I know xb500s are a bass monster, however I'm not entirely sure about the uptowns and downtowns. I've only heard that the downtowns are bass heavy, but the uptowns are balanced with a tinge of bass.   Care to weigh in?

    Xb500's vs. ATH-m50s

Currently deciding xb500s (70 bucks) vs. ATH-M50s (105)   Leaning toward xb500s cause I do love bass and while I do care about the mids and highs, I don't care for them as much.    Main question is how do the M50s bass compare to the xb500s? If its greater than or equal to the xb500s...

    Modding HD 439's

I'm trying to remove the earpads of it, but I've never done it before.   Am I supposed to pinch upon the earpad itself? Or the hard plastic thing beneath it? Also am I supposed to pull outward or inward?   Dubstep mod seems a bit confusing as well. Is there a substitute for blutack?

Good/Cheap headphone amp for Sennheiser HD 439

I recently bought Sennheiser HD 439's and I feel like I'm not getting enough bass out of these. Would a decent headphone portable amp (pocket sized maybe?) be of any help? Black friday's coming up so I thought might as well.   Also a modding guide would be cool too, never done any of this...

    Question about Sennheiser HD 439's

I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 439's for home use and a pair of elago e3's for mobile use.   The problem is, although I'm typically a basshead, the elago e3's (for 10 bucks) sound way better to me than my more expensive HD 439's. I did some research, and I found that the HD 439's...

Looking for new headphones to replace my Phillips "The Stretch" ones.

I'm looking for new pair since my old ones snapped (Ah well)..   What I'm really looking for are somewhat portable, yet durable headphones in the 50-75$ range. As long as they don't snap instantly, nor are too bulky, that's fine. Comfortability is needed but isn't a high priority. I do love...

Looking for a pair of portable headphones/earphones, 40-75$

I mainly look to techno sorts, mainly glitch and electronica with a bit of dubstep sprinkled in there. Basically anything bass heavy, but I still like to get in my trebles and mids. (Justice, Skrillex, glitch mob, etc.) So far I've really kept my eye on Klipsch S4's, I've heard great things like...
