Looking for a Step-Up from Zero
Christmas is coming up, and I thought I'd sell my Zero and get myself a nicer amp/DAC combo to compliment my D-5000's. Any recommendations for a combo(~700USD) or just a nice DAC (~500USD) would be great! Thanks, Steve- Steve The Egg

IEM's <$200
I need a pair of decent sounding IEM's to take with me on trips, walking to class, and taking to the library. I need good isolation, and I hate overwhelming bass in an IEM- mids and treble need to be the strong point. I just can't stand listening to $20 junk IEMs. Thanks in advance- Steve The Egg

Distortion from Laptop (D5000 and SR80)- Amp/DAC Combo Rec
I get a noticeable amount of distortion, especially in the highs and bass, from my onboard audio, and I'm looking to find a amp/DAC combo to remedy this. I know I need an amp, particularly with the D5000's, because I have to turn the preamp on in iTunes just to get the volume up...which of...- Steve The Egg

Denon 2000 Re-cable Questions
I'm going to be getting a pair of Markl modded 2000's from J-Pak in the next couple days, and I've read a couple of reviews saying the cable is very annoying. So, I might recable simply for the comfort factor. But, I'd really like to get some improvement in SQ if possible. If anyone has any...- Steve The Egg

Old Dell - HTPC or Home Server
I have an old Dell Dimension 4600 just sitting in the corner collecting dust. I'd like to have both a home server and a HTPC, but I don't know what this computer is better suited to do. Everything is stock except the graphics card. What do you cool cats think?- Steve The Egg

Astronomy-Fi
I did a search and it came up blank. I couldn't believe there wasn't an astronomy gear thread here. This is the place to post your telescopes, lenses, binoculars, observing environments, observatories, etc. I currently am using a Celestron 6" dobsonian. I've got a rather pathetic Celestron...- Steve The Egg

How Do I Conduct an A/B Comparison?
Is there any easy way to do two headphones? By the time I get everything set up, I seem to "forget" how the other one sounded. I remember HUGE differences in sound but not the detail others seem to pick up in reviews I've read. Sorry if this is a stupid question :/- Steve The Egg

Keces 151 vs. Keces 131 (w/ on-board audio SPDIF)
I was going to buy a 131 because I already had and M-AUDIO Revolution 5.1 sound card with SPDIF ouput. But, for some reason it no longer works. I can't install the drivers, and it has been an endless source of frustration for the past couple days. If anyone can help me fix it or thinks they can...- Steve The Egg

So Begins My Odyssey- A Brief SR-80 Review
I got my Grado SR-80's on Tuesday, and they have barely left my head. They blow my Sony NC's out of the water. Here's my thoughts on them so far: Pros- *The bass is quick and punchy (just the way I like it). *The treble is clean. *Hard rock, rock, and techno sound great. Cons- *The...- Steve The Egg
