I have just cancelled my penrose order. Ive been back and forth loads of times but im just not confident that they will be worth the money at this stage. I have ordered some fidelio x2hr along with a soundblaster g6, so i lose the wireless but hoping i made the right choice for gaming and music...

Sounds like hifiheadphones are literally the last retailer to be recieving these. I hope they send out quickly and with fast delivery when they get them

Is there any difference in sound quality by using wired 3.5 mm analog say into a phone vs bluetooth onto phone??

Anyone compared the penrose to something like the sony xm3/4 in terms of listening to music off a phone or similar?

Ok thanks for the reply. So last question! I could get a g6 and perhaps beyerdynamic 880/990s with higher impedence, how do we feel these would compare with the penrose. Its wireless convenience vs audio quality, particularly thinking spatial awareness for gaming and for listening to music.

Im tempted to cancel my penrose order and just try some 32ohm dt880s into the controller and attach a mic. Its cheaper and i can use them on my phone for music. Anyone tried this yet? Or has any thoughts on whether the controller and 32ohm beyers will be decent or not?

They really need to soon and offer a fix, otherwise im gonna have to cancel and im sure i wont be the only one.

Man this really worries me. Im going to stick with the penrose pre order (uk here) i think, but the wind / hissing noises and the constant reconnecting etc is making me feel like i should be cancelling. I just dont see any other decent wireless option though for music and gaming. Perhaps a...

Hey Malveux.   Thanks for the reply.   Ive gone for the sony MDR1R. Hopefully they will do the trick. If not I think I will give up until I have a bigger budget for better amp and choice of headphone!
