Denon AH-D7000 The headphones are in good condition with just a few minor scuffs from regular use. The pads are showing a bit of cracking due to age, but are still quite comfortable and the headband and the ear cups look great. I am the original owner. I think I put a book or a box down on the...- kevad

Lets Talk Metal
Well, I guess it's not technically confirmed. But, it's widely rumored the vocalist is Mikko Aspa, who is a real scumbag. :( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Deathspell_Omega/4237 -
Lets Talk Metal
Didn't even know this one was getting released! Love DsO's music, but am really conflicted in supporting them due to the Nazi connections... -
Lets Talk Metal
Wow, awesome. They remind me a lot of Deathspell Omega. -
Lets Talk Metal
Sounds like they recorded directly off the mixing board. There's not a lot of crowd noise, but just a little bit leaks through at times. Plus, you can hear the very prominent kick drums that's very common for live shows. Hard to believe Dimmu has been going at this for 20+ years! -

Quote: I ended up taking unscrewing the single cup off of the headband, and rotating it back into proper shape, then reattaching, which seemed to have helped the issue. Thanks!- kevad

Quote: I'm really digging this album. Most of the songs are strong, but 5000 at the Funeral is probably the best track on the album, IMO. -

Quote: Just tried, but for whatever reason, it's not twisting back even after pressing inwards. Guess I'll take the cups off and see if I can get in there somehow.- kevad

Denon AH-D7000
Has anyone experienced a twisted cable on just one of the ear cups? Mine have been like that since I got them, and it causes the cable to not hang naturally. (See picture) Is it possible / easy to take the cable off, untwist, and reattach without any major issues?- kevad

Desktop DAC/headphone amp reccomendation $300-$500
I'm a big fan of the Music Streamer II, but haven't heard the M-Stage. Personally for my home rig, I'm using the NuForce Icon HD which is a cheaper version of the HDP, the only difference being the lack of a couple inputs. It's an all-in-one unit, DAC + amp, which I'm more than happy with and...- kevad

Macbook Pro as source for HD-280s?
+1 on the Fiio E10. There's also the FiiO E7, which is fairly popular if you'd like a portable solution as well in that price range. My preference would be to stretch just a bit and go with the Nuforce uDAC2 at $129. These suggestions are specific to computer audio. However, many here have...- kevad

Electronics Expo has the Denon D7000 open-box for $585, which is a decent deal if the EXPODEALS code is not working anymore for the new pair. (I can't get it to add anything to my cart to check for some reason) ...- kevad

Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!
Battles - Gloss Drop is an interesting style music that I wish had a bit better production quality. Bridges of Königsberg - The Five Colors wins me over with the piano. I'm a fan of piano music, especially in a rock/post-rock context, so any other suggestions are welcomed! Cloudkicker - Let... -
Lets Talk Metal
Been listening to the new Borknagar over the past few days, which is kicking ass! -
Lets Talk Metal
So, speaking of major style departures...how about the new Cloudkicker albums? Bummed, since I was hoping for an evolution of Beacons or ]]][[[. Still digesting both albums, but I didn't have that initial "wow" factor that I have had with previous releases. -
Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!
Quote: Agreed, I've got ~50 plays of that song after seeing another recommendation on here for it, and maybe 4 or 5 on the rest of the album :) I've not been that exposed to dubstep or whatever that's called, but really do like that song. Any similar artists / songs you'd recommend?
