Disappointed with Truthear Hexa - looking for alternatives under £200 (~$250)

Unfortunately the stock foam tips seem Hi! Thanks, I wanted to be precise with my request. The foam tips were actually the first ones I tried but I couldn't get a good seal. They would slip out if I moved my jaw or lay down (on the bench in the gym e.g.). The medium "egg shaped" tips seem like...

Disappointed with Truthear Hexa - looking for alternatives under £200 (~$250)

TL;DR Truthear Hexas have nice detail but are a bit light and airy. What's a <£200 alternative with the same level of detail but a fuller overall sound? Hi, I've been happily using Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 in-ears for a good few years but they're reaching the end of their life and I'm looking to...

Computer audio problem, sound is quieter on one side and sometimes cuts out

My set up is Laptop > Arcam rDAC > Marantz PM6004 > Monitor Audio BX2 speakers   he issue is that audio is noticeably louder on the right hand side, the left side makes sudden changes in volume every now and then, there's occasional crackling through the left as well and it cuts out on that...

    Sennheiser CX500 vs. MEElectronics M9

Eeeh, it's just that the thing is I'm not sure if I'll be able to return them if I take them out of the packaging.   I'll probably test them anyway

    Sennheiser CX500 vs. MEElectronics M9

I currently use sennheiser CX500 IEMs but I recently ordered a Cowon J3 and they came with a set of MEElectronics M9s.   I had a look and they cost about the same.   What I want to know is it worth using the M9s over the CX500s?

How good are all these IEMs by MEElectronics?

Quote: I'm not actually buying them they just come with the cowon, I was just wondering if it's worth using them over my Sennheisers.   I actually have my eyes on a pair of Audio-Technica ATH M50s as my next actual upgrade, also I know this isn't really the right place to ask but how...

How good are all these IEMs by MEElectronics?

I'm buying a Cowon J3 and there's a deal with it where you get a random set of earphones (out of 6) from MEElectronics and I was wondering how good they all were because I have never heard of the manufacturer.   The six you can get are:   MEElectronics M2P   MEElectronics M9  ...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Quote: Hmm, I've had a look around and they seem to be A-OK sound-wise.   However they look pretty chunky, are there any smaller closed-backs with decent isolation in the range of £60-90? (that's roughly $100-140)

Okay, I've been asking around a bit for my first pair of proper headphones, my price range being £60-90 (about $90-130 I think)   I had my eye on the grado sr60i but I then found that open backed were not the right choice for my intended usage of the phones (Home with other people, on the...

Yeah I know but £60 pretty low in my price range and the handling fees shouldn't be too much on top of that

    Grado SR60i vs. Sony MDR-V6

Well I've just been using a lawnmower with my in ear headphones (which don't exactly block a lot of noise) and I didn't mind the sound of the engine too much. I pretty much just mentally blocked it out.   Do the Grados let in a HUGE amount of noise when playing? Because if not then it isn't...
